Heading 1

Welcome to Play Lane, an interactive role play centre for children.

We understand the importance of children's play and strive to give every child a fun and memorable play experience.

Our "Lane" provides a stimulating environment where children can role play alongside others whilst developing their social and creative skills.

When visiting our play centre, children will be able to explore our police station, fire engine, supermarket, boutique, health centre, pizzeria and builder's yard and they can even have a picnic in the "Lane's garden". Children of all ages love pretend play and everyone is welcome at Play Lane, however our recommended age group is under 8's.

Here at Play Lane, we take the safety and welfare of children seriously and all our staff are trained to a high standard and the majority of our play team hold relevant childcare qualifications. Every member of staff has attended first aid training, has a DBS check and has completed a safeguarding course.

Stay and play

Our stay and play sessions allow children and grown ups to come along and explore our role play areas together. Our play coordinators will be on hand to engage children and support them in their play. Adults are more than welcome to get involved, or take a well deserved break in our café!

Drop off sessions

Our "drop off to shop" sessions will be running on Saturdays and children can access these sessions for up to 4 hours. Our childcare team are highly trained and most hold relevant childcare qualifications, so you can rest assured that your children will

be in safe hands. Go to  our                                              page

The Lane's Café offers delicious food, prepared by our very own qualified chef. A range of items including, baked potatoes, soup, salads and paninis will be on offer, as well as made to order sandwiches.

We also offer a great selection of hot and cold drinks and fabulous cakes, so why not come along and take a break at "The Lane's Café".

We've had a lovely first week at Play Lane and are overwhelmed by the positive response we have received. We have loved seeing you all and watching the little ones finally get back to what they do best -playing.

At Play Lane, we always strive to give the best play experience to children and our top priority has always been, and will continue to be, everyone's safety. After the government's announcement regarding the new measures and Solihull cases rising, we have felt it necessary to review our COVID policy.

From Thursday 17th September, we will be making some changes to our sessions. Although we have been working on half occupancy, we have decided to reduce our numbers even further to allow children more space to play and socially distance (where possible). To achieve this, we will be shortening our play sessions to an hour and a half and adding in an extra session to ensure all bookings can be fulfilled. This will also allow us to create an afterschool session that many parents have approached us about. We are making these changes with everyone's best interests at heart and to ensure that we are doing all we can to control this outbreak. If you have already got a booking with us, you should have now received an email detailing any changes that may affect you. I you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at info@play-lane.co.uk
